My name is Margaux, and I’m 16 years old. There was a time in my life when I genuinely believed I had hit the lowest of low, essentially a rock bottom, when the weight of everything felt too heavy to bear. I remember feeling like there was no reason to keep going, then having to put on the masked smile when going out. I understand this feeling all too well, being a young girl in high school who seems to have the perfect life through the eyes of my peers. It’s a true reminder that you never really know what someone is going through behind closed doors.

I understand that feeling all too well—the loneliness, the confusion, and the sense of hopelessness that can overwhelm you. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re trapped in your own mind with no way out. But through time, support, and a lot of personal growth- focus, I began to realize that I wasn’t alone. And neither are you.

That’s why I created Promising Pals. This website is a place for teens to connect, find resources, and, most importantly, know that they are not alone in their struggles. I want you to know that there is always hope, even when it feels like there isn’t. There are people who understand, there are ways to heal, and there is a future worth living for.

This website is for anyone who feels lost, confused, or isolated. I created it to remind you that you matter, your feelings are valid, and there is always a way forward.

You are not alone.
